LinkTask is software developed and published by LinkSat S.A.R.L. ("LinkSat", "we"). This policy explains how personal data is handled on this website, in the LinkTask web application, in the LinkTask Windows desktop app and when LinkTask is used on a mobile device.
When you use the request form we receive the details you enter (name, company, email, phone, team size, your LinkTask address, message) and your IP address. We use them only to answer your request and keep a record of the correspondence. No advertising or tracking cookies are used. Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which may set cookies under Google's policy.
Each customer company runs its own LinkTask instance with its own database. The company operating the instance is the data controller for the work orders, customers, technicians, users, files and messages stored in it; contact your administrator to access or delete your data. When LinkSat hosts an instance, we process that data only on the customer's behalf to run, back up and support the service. Login sessions are stored in your browser; push-notification subscriptions are used solely to deliver notifications you enabled. Optional location use on the technician map derives from ZIP codes and coverage areas entered by administrators, not from device tracking.
The desktop app is a window that opens your company's LinkTask address. It stores only that address on your computer and does not collect or send any other data to LinkSat.
If your instance is configured for email, notification emails are sent through the SMTP server chosen by your company. Browser and mobile push notifications are delivered through your browser vendor's push service and contain only the short alert text.
LinkTask uses encrypted connections (TLS), hashed credentials, role-based access control, idle sign-out, lockout protection, audit logging and daily backups with an off-site copy. If we become aware of a security incident affecting customer data on an instance we host, we inform the affected company promptly.
